Hi everyone, it has been quite sometime since we met up as a class. Good news- there will be a second class chalet coming up this april! It will be a 3 day 2 night event at Pasir Ris. Tentative date is 2-4 may 2008 (friday till sunday), and we will most probably have a bbq session on saturday. As we are still in the process of checking out the details, we hope you guys can make yourselves free during this period (:

Details

Total cost of booking chalet plus booking of bbq pit- $206

Staying- $20 per person*

Not staying- $15 per person (to cover cost of buying food and chalet)*

* These amounts are not the final amount that we are going to pay. If more people are staying, the cost will be spreaded more evenly and thus lower (is that an EOS? haha dun box me) Moreover, pls take note: these amounts are EXCLUSIVE of other expenses (e.g. daily meals, entertainment fees)

Do start saving up now! An advance notice has been given so pls plan your expenses wisely for this month. Xiaobai suggest a 1-day-$1 saving scheme. hahaha! Also start checking out if you can take leave from your work alright?

LATEST UPDATES ON CLASS CHALET

Hi everyone. The chalet dates had been changed to 20-22 Dec 2007. People who cannot make it for this date pls indicate your name below.

Tentative activities will be as follows:
1st day-cleaning up and settling down plus BBQ and movie marathon at nite.
2nd day-games/swimming/sports and night cycling.
3rd day-packing up for home and maybe lunch out together and kbox after we check out.

For the first day, we will have to be divided into groups to clean up the house and to buy food supplies for BBQ. So, pls indicate once again what you would want to do below by typing in your names.

*Class chalet will be held at Magpalene's condominium in Hougang.
It's her second house, so no qualms about bothering the family or things like that.

Suggested date is from 27th December to 29th December.
*If anybody cannot make it on this date, please let us know on the tagboard. Thanks!
CHALET WILL MOST PROBABLY BE POSTPONED TO LATE DECEMBER ^^

i think i'm irritating all of you right? but please bear with me. anyway after tomorrow, this blog would probably be back to stagnant again. since we all have to mug veryvery hard for the prelims and a'levels. sigh. i don't know if you'll get to read this but here's what we're going to do tomorrow if you're still rather confused.

Games
for the guys, join the boys for a game of soccer okay!
girls, hopefully the kids would want to play either captain's ball or soccer so that they can all run around like what the person-in-charge wants them to do. then Group 1 would play captain's ball for half an hour while Group 2 plays soccer simultaneously for half and hour. then after that we can swop since all of you seem so eager to play captain's ball. haha! :D

Peer Tutoring
i think the kids would be left alone to do their homework. so we would just be required to accompany them and help them with any problems that they have. most probably you would be able to work in twos or threes, taking care of a few children at the same table.

Arts & Craft
we'll start off by letting the kids design teacher's day card for their teachers, and at the same time we can do ours too. (: since this would probably be the last time we get to make teacher's day cards already. i wonder if anybody still does it in university. haha. then if they're done pretty fast then we'll teach them some simple origami. learn on the spot and teach them. it should be relatively simple. (dog, duckling, koala)

Thousand apologies to those who printed the stuff i posted the other time. ahhh! sorry ):

Anyway, there has been a change. We'll be going thru differentiation and differential equations TYS questions tmr! Venue will be our usual math lesson venue.

As for next Thurs, we will be going thru MJC paper and complex number compilation posted on litespeed by ATan, as well as complex tutorial 14C. Time will be changed to 9am to 12noon.

We will also have lesson on Friday 29/06 on statistics. Time and venue to be confirmed again.

You'd probably know what this is all about.

I don't know how to really kick start this, for i have so much to convey within this very blog entry. I hope i do my best, so here goes anyway.

Well let me start from where it all started for me:

Remember Orientatoin 2, 2006? Haha. The damn cool flag and Yumin in the oh-so-familiar Cedar house tee. Not quite sure where did flag died to, but quite nicely made isn't it.

Oh then we had level camp! To me, the programme was rubbish, but i remembered it was a good ice-breaker in itself. (geez, look at the damn clip on my neck)

Oh remember tile painting? I remembered contributing by, erm, cheering. Haha. The tiles are at the grandstand area, albeit looking really yellowish now.

And THE ROCKING BRIDGES podcast group! I'll miss those impossible number of hours spent over at Phyllis' house doing the human geog podcast. And i think the podcasts still never fail to humour me once in a while. Look at Ego. Tell me she's not acting cute.

National Day! and flag day. It was my first EVER flag day believe it or not. Guess where did all the stickers went to? Haha. It was when we won our much beloved Swensens' voucher, which was also quite well spent too. Haha.

I'll miss going to Physics classes with Huiyen, Justina, Gillian and Hanisah.

I think of all the good times i've had with these 3 and it pains so much to think that i'm leaving them for good. Foo Kai Ling my sister for the past week or two, xiao bai the hot babe with the new hair cut, and Eileen Goh- as her name suggests- the Ego. I'll miss y'all.

and Dearest Jiawei, who've been around long since the start of my journey in nanyang, i appreciate every moment i've spent with all of you all.

I'll miss A1 GP classes taught by Miss Sanah, Mr Chew Qi and now Ms Darrell Foo, with Sarah and Jiah Li. Remember we're the best. lol.

I've gotta admit it was the longest trip i had to school this morning, with all these constantly in my head. I know it may come as abrupt as it may all seem, but i think i've given it sufficient thought and consideration. What kept me in the class(and in J2) was probably the people in the class itself. My dislike for the school isn't a well kept secret i think. I realise how much you people in class actually meant to me. I might wear that smile half the time, and swear by a sick joke for the other half, i do feel very strongly about leaving the class. I think what happened after econs tutorial today speaks out loud of how i feel for leaving all of you wonderful people from 0605. When Mr Nandwani asked me about how i feel about the environment, i gave him a different answer from the previous time. I told him i'm settled in nanyang, and that would never even appear in my wildest dreams if i had not known my classmates as i have now. I really enjoyed the past few weeks, or rather, the first few weeks of this year. It was great fun, and don't forget me when hanging out at J8 or something. I know i've disappointed many, which i think is really the saddest thing of all for me. I know we're all supposed to be all in this(a levels) together and ace them. I know its pang seh. I know i broke many promises. For once i made a decision and feel so bad about it. And i'm terribly sorry. I owe y'all one big one.

I not gonna act macho and say i'm all fine now, cos obviously i'm quite affected. But please, life goes on. I hope i was great entertainment for you all. Do miss me, but don't miss me too much. I've learnt so much from all of you.

Words don't do justice of my surge of emotions right now, but i surely hope that i can, through my future actions, make up for what i've not done. Its my deepest remorse indeed that i'll have to do this.

Hey ohfive peeps..

I just want to share a though with you guys. A thought that has been on my mind for the past few months.

The thought of posting this entry is because I care for the class.

And well, from the previous entry by hui yen you all will know that nandwani was disappointed.

And well, call me whatever you want. But I am too. I am not biased here. I am not trying to be a teacher’s pet. I just want to be a friend to you guys. A friend who is there to advise and make sure her friends don’t do stuff which may hurt them in the future.

Seeing the lecture theatre half filled. The first thing I did when I entered the lt was to look for ohfive peeps. when I saw none, I called one of you. And I got to know the news. That most of you were not going to attend lecture. And when I heard that only two.. jia wei and mapok went for econs lecture. I felt kinda sad guys. I mean. I went to sit with a fren of mine. And she asked me hey where is ur class. I mean.. I guess some of us wud be proud to say that hey we’re the class who is super united.. wana know in what? Oh you know.. in ponning lessons.. hey.. I cant deny sometimes its fun to skip lessons together.. but always? It isnt funny anymore guys. And sure.. it can be something to be proud abt that we are united at skipping lessons.. but hey.. is that the ONLY thing you guys wana be proud of.

Oh.. wait.. there is another thing to be proud of. We are quite united in disappointing our tutors ey.. hey.. its fun making fun of these people who taught us behind their backs.

But CAN YOU DENY THAT THEY WERE THE ONES WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU GUYS TO GET PROMOTED?

I don’t know.. if youre promoted cos of your own efforts.. then by all means.. deny it.. but then.. please guys think abt it..

And well.. look.. WE ARE A CLASS..

So naturally.. people see us as 0605.

Tell me.. would it be fair to people like magpalene and jia wei who attended lectures and in the end, they also get the diappointment from the tutors? Is it fair to those people ard you who made an effort to achieve what they want.. especially for next year..

Im serious.. I din like whatever happened before promos started. and when results came. Everyone was looking so depressed and so worried of getting retained. It was super crappy.. to wait for everyone’s turn to know whether your fellow classmate wud be able to be with you after that. I don’t know whether you guys felt it or not. It was sad ey.. beginning of the session of getting promo results, everyone was there. As the bulk got to know their results. Most of us went out. I don’t know. Were we not being insensitive? What if the last few people needed our support? And we were not there to give it? Were were we a class at that point of time? I don’t know.

I dunno why im suddenly toking abt that day.. but yeah my main point is that next year our ‘a’s.. hahaz.. I dnt need to say how super painful it will be next year ey.. hahaz.. duh everyone has been saying that.. but yeah.. everyone wud be rushing for their own time next year.. and if you need help, wud they have the time set aside for you? When they themselves are rushing for time..

Guys. I just feel its time we buck up. Show every single tutor that we don’t disappoint them.. we make them proud.. we are one bunch of lively monkeys.. whoops.. hahaz.. yeah! And im VERY PROUD OF THAT!! but we have shown how fun loving caring and enthu we are and how we can liven up a situation.. but lets have a balance in life shall we? Lets show what we have aites?

And I guess we should be responsible for our own self.

Lets start by attending lectures shall we? And extra lessons?

Iyups.. I mean if you’ve got a personal problem.. aiyoh.. no one is forcing you.. hahaz.. but then look at this way.. cannot wake up is really not a prob.. the thing is you just don’t wana wake up rite? Lectures are boring rite? Duh.. everyone knows that. but then you’ve started on this journey in jc. Youre in the middle.. if you turn back.. you start again. If you stay where you are.. I dunno.. ask yourself isit worth it? So lets finish what we started shall we? As in.. dnt just finish it for the sake of it only.. but with an aspiration to excel in life. to excel and make your own future bright. With more confidence on where youre heading towards.. im sure you will have more confidence to help those ard you.. your classmates. Im sure you want them to excel and laugh and be happy with you at the end of the day rite? We have been thru this stage before. The ‘o’s days.. yeah? Yeah.. im sure if youre happy, you wudnt wan others you care for sad rite?

Hmm.. so guys.. I really hope next year ohfive would be the best in everything.. but then everyone do your own part.. must do shud do.. aites?

And im sorry if whatever im talking here is crap cos I guess I have to admit I dun rili know you guys cos im like nvr out with you guys to kbox outings and stuff.. and well.. always zooming off out of sight to meet someone.. ehem.. hahaz.. yeah.. dats my fault.. sorry guys.. and well yeah.. is til cant sing Chinese songs.. so til I can, I wont be joining you guys for those kbox outings.. hahaz..

I thought its time i update this really, really neglected heap of the fantastic blogosphere. This is your ever-friendly IT rep here by the way.

And the greatest irony, i'm saving 0605 DAILY. Wa lao eh.

Before this blog turns dead, i reckoned i wrote something constructive in here.

The holidays are here and we ought to celebrate yea? So i'm announcing the need to use our swensens' voucher desperately. I hereby apologise for the lacklustre efforts of my fellow class-committee when organising such class outtings. Though it is not my scope of duty, i found it disturbing that the responsible members, namely Justina Koh and Pang Karmun and Teng Huiyen, are neglecting their duties(muahaha). So yeah, someone please offer them a timely reminder of such negligence and wake up their bloody idea. lol.

And what about a class chalet or class BBQ for the end of the year(which is now lah btw)? Any plans?

I fnid the lack of enthusiasm enroaching and detrimental to class bonding purposes. So yea CT and welfare reps, please do your job.

Lastly, the tag board is in fact on the right of the monitor screen as i've observed.

It appears below only when browsed in IE browsers i think, cos it works perfectly with the great MOZILLA FIREFOX. I'll look to solve the problem if you still insist on using IE with all their issues on spywares.

And (i know i shouldn't add a NEW point in my CONCLUSION but...) regarding the previous post by anonymous, all i can say is, i share your sentiments as well.
